CLARINGTON — The Green Party of Canada announced on Thursday, Jan. 24 that Evan Price is the Green Party candidate for Durham in the upcoming 2019 federal election.
“I am excited and honoured to be given the chance to work on behalf of the people of Durham. We need leadership in our elected offices that will get things done and propose real solutions to the problems we face in our community,” Price posted on Facebook.
Price supports policies that increase protections for children, women, immigrants and minority groups. He wants to help develop more opportunities for youth engagement and is passionate about election reform for proportional representation, according to the Green party statement.
Born and raised in Durham Region, Price is married with one child and works in the telecommunications industry (including Bell, Rogers and Shaw.)
